Brewed specifically for aging in bourbon barrels, Thirsty Dog Wulver (ABV 12%) is a Scotch Wee Heavy ale brewed with specialty malts, then fermented and aged. The result is the brewery’s most acclaimed beer. It perfectly balances bourbon, oak, vanilla and caramel flavors and pairs well with everything from salad to dessert.

Similar to Barley Wines, Wee Heavy Ale is a strong, malty, dark beer that originated in Scotland. Also known as Scotch ale, the name "wee heavy" comes from the small bottles ("wee") in which Scottish brewers sold the beer in the late 1800s. 12 oz. bottle.
